Entry #0: The Perspective of an Artist

Here I'd first like to discuss my perspective on blogs such as the one I'm writing right now and other blogs like Billboard, for example, or Advice From A Twenty Something, which is a cozy lifestyle blog by Amanda Holstein that consists of her take on everything from fashion to beauty, decor, relationships and more! Billboard, on the other hand, is considered one of the most reputable sources of music industry news. Offering not only industry news but also global events, podcasts, and music streaming, which is why I favor this specific blog the most.
Billboard is most commonly known for the Billboard Hot 100, which ranks the top 100 songs in the US based on radio airplay, streaming, and sales, and the Billboard 200, which ranks the top 200 albums based on consumption. Not only does Billboard appeal to individuals' through their taste in music and celebrities, but it also provides extensive, hot news and gossip regarding celebrities and the latest events happening globally.

The picture above is an example of how Billboard provides information on recent events and important topics, such as Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance, which had a great impact on the way people view Latin American and Hispanic individuals. His recent performance has faced a lot of backlash, but despite this, it gives the Hispanic community a sense of closure and belonging because of the celebrated culture within the performance. Billboard has been around for over 85 years, and it will continue to give insight on popular topics, music, and celebrities while also being a fun and engaging site to explore for a multitude of individuals.
Lifestyle blogs, however, such as Amanda Holstein's blog, are great for personal creativity and self discovery. Consisting of many tools that appeal to certain types of people who strive to find out more about themselves and their hobbies, differing from industry blogs like Billboard almost entirely.

Despite this, both types of blogs are very useful in their own way and easily appeal to their own audience in creative ways. I personally like Billboard more since it appeals more to my taste in pop culture, music, and recent news. Lifestyle blogs such as Advice From A Twenty Something are much less my speed, since it doesn't consist of things like popular news or activities that I'd personally like to do, but I do admire the things that Holstein puts on her blog and the advice she gives.
